Services
Sacred Intimate & Professional Dominant
A Sacred Intimate helps clients explore intersections between eroticism, sexuality, and spirituality, and discover how to fulfill them in meaningful ways within relationship to self and others. They are often trained in curriculum-driven workshop programs facilitated by expert-level practitioners, and frequently have skills from other helping professions, such as higher education, counseling/psychotherapy practices, yoga instruction, and so on. Sacred Intimates often have a connection to spirituality practices and may also have intuitive abilities. Ideally, they are mentored and occasionally supervised by an experienced Sacred Intimate.
A Professional Dominant/Dominatrix (Pro Dom/Domme) helps clients explore kinks, fetishes, and desires in co-created scenarios (scenes) through the techniques of BDSM, Role Play & Power Dynamics, and Impact & Sensation Play. BDSM stands for Bondage & Discipline, Domination & Submission, Sadism & Masochism. See Further Definitions below for more information.
Shel Ryan serves individuals of all gender identities, gender expressions, and sexual orientations, and is available for in-person, phone, or video conference sessions. For outcall sessions, travel fees/arrangements will be discussed on a case-by-case basis.

Further Definitions
Breathwork and Bodywork
Breathwork techniques are used in many acts of living, such as yoga, singing, meditation, progressive relaxation, or even own specialized breathwork-focused workshops. Breathwork in the context of sexuality and eroticism can lead to deeper exploration of one’s body, greater vocalization and creative expression, and even heighten one’s sensations and consciousness.
Bodywork is the application of physical therapy methods such as massage, yoga, exercise, and relaxation techniques for the purpose of promoting physical and emotional well-being. (American Heritage Dictionary, 5th Edition)
Meditation and Mantras
Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique - such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity - to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. (wikipedia.com)
A mantra is a sacred verbal formula repeated in prayer, meditation, or incantation, such as an invocation of a god, a magic spell, or a syllable or portion of scripture containing mystical potentialities. (The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 5th edition)
Role Play, Impact Play, and Power Dynamics
Role play is when you engage in a solo or partnered experience where one may engage in behaviors, mannerisms, actions, use of props, and/or wearing clothing which allows for an experience to either magnify certain existing traits or allows for experimentation with another identity.
Impact play is the use of an extremity or a prop to make physical contact with another person which may be light, moderate, and/or heavy in order increase sensation in the recipient; this act may or may not be sexual in nature.
Power dynamics are loosely defined when roles of dominance and submission are consensually established within a relationship. Dominant, Submissive, or a Switch roles are foundations for when someone explores being a Top or Bottom, Giver or Receiver, Daddy/Mommy, Girl/Boy, Mistress/Master-Slave, or Owner-Property/Pet.
Kink or kinkiness can be defined as the use of sexual practices, concepts, or fantasies outside of conventional practice (“bending” or “kinking” one’s sexual behavior).
Fetish is defined as a material object or non-sexual part of the body which arouses sexual desire and may become vital for sexual fulfillment or gratification.
Flower Essence Remedies and Reiki
Flower Essence Remedies were pioneered by Dr. Edward Bach in the early 1930s when he discovered the subtle healing properties of flower blossoms from a variety of plants. These remedies can help with energetic imbalances by offering a gentle “course correction” when it comes to the way someone reacts or responds to certain stimuli from interpersonal and contemplative perspectives. Ideally, flower essence remedies help people find a state of neutrality and harmony from within themselves and with the world around them.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It may be administered by hovering or laying hands on someone to guide the life force energy to promote healing, harmony, and well-being. Rei means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki means “life force energy, so Reiki can be defined as “spiritually guided life force energy”. (reiki.org)
